The meeting deliberated and passed the "First Meeting Plan of CloudDevice Professional Committee" and the "Working Regulations of CloudDevice Professional Committee", elected the first management committee members, and had in-depth exchanges on the current situation of cloud terminal industry, policy environment, technology trend and ecological cooperation.
1. The meeting reviewed and adopted the core document and laid the organizational foundation
At the first meeting, the preparatory group first listened to the explanation of the "Plan of the First Meeting of All Members of CloudDevice Professional Committee" and the "Working Regulations of CloudDevice Professional Committee", which were passed by the secret ballot of all members.
The Work Regulations outline the organizational structure, division of responsibilities, and operational mechanisms of the Special Committee. The committee comprises a Management Committee, an Expert Committee, a Secretariat, and multiple working groups. These components focus on key areas including technological innovation, industry standards, application scenarios, and ecosystem development, forming a multi-level, collaborative, and efficient working system.
2. Elect the first management committee to gather industry leaders
After a vote by all members, Huawei Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. was elected as the chair unit, while China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Mobile Internet Co., Ltd., and China Mobile (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., Ltd. were elected as deputy chair units. Additionally, four members of the management committee were elected.
As the core decision-making body of the special committee, the management committee will take the lead in formulating development strategies, promoting standard construction, promoting the deep integration of industry, education, research and application, and helping the healthy and orderly development of the cloud terminal industry.
According to the decision of the management committee, the CloudDeivce Professional Committee of the Global Computing Alliance has four working groups, including:
The industrial standards working group is responsible for carrying out the research, compilation and release of CloudDevice industry standards, and the leader unit is the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology;
The Scenario Innovation Working Group is responsible for exploring the application scenarios and demands of CloudDevice in various industries and fields, promoting productization and commercialization, and the leader unit is China Mobile Internet Co., LTD.;
The technical innovation working group is responsible for understanding the cutting-edge technology direction and trend of CloudDevice industry, carrying out technological innovation and pre-research. The leader unit is the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of China Soft International;
The Ecological Development Working Group is responsible for studying the development trend of CloudDevice industrial ecology, formulating industrial ecological development plans and strategies, and the leader unit is China Mobile (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., LTD.
3. Participants will focus on industrial pain points and opportunities
At the meeting, a number of industry experts shared the development status and future trends of the cloud terminal industry.
A representative from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology shared relevant experience in industrial standards, noting that the cloud terminal industry is embracing dual opportunities driven by policy incentives and technological advancements. Governments across multiple regions have introduced supportive policies for digital economy and computing infrastructure, promoting deep integration of terminal forms such as cloud phones and cloud computers with computing networks, cloud gaming, and low-code platforms. Going forward, efforts will focus on building a trustworthy and sustainable industrial environment through technology-driven approaches (such as TEE, blockchain), refined standardization, and collaborative ecosystem governance.
A representative from China Mobile (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Smart Home Operations Center) shared insights on ecosystem development, highlighting their achievements in smart home solutions. As China Mobile's core R&D institution for home intelligence, the company has established a comprehensive capability chain spanning "hardware, platform, applications, and ecosystem", connecting over 640 million devices and collaborating with more than 950 ecosystem partners. Moving forward, the company will continue leveraging mechanisms like alliance sub-chains to drive industrial synergy and technological innovation.
4. The future work direction of the four special committees is clear
The meeting clarified the future key work direction of the CloudDevice Professional Committee:
Standard construction: accelerate the establishment of cloud terminal technical standards, security specifications and evaluation system;
Scenario innovation: promote the implementation of cloud terminals in smart home, cloud gaming, enterprise office and other scenarios;
Ecological coordination: build an open and collaborative industrial ecology to promote cooperation between upstream and downstream of the industrial chain;
Policy suggestions: Actively participate in industry policy discussions to promote the balanced development of compliance and innovation.
5. The conference was successfully concluded and follow-up work was carried out in an orderly manner
The conference concluded successfully after completing all agenda items. The establishment of the CloudDevice Professional Committee under the Global Computing Alliance marks a significant initiative to address the evolving demands of the digital economy and computing power era. Moving forward, the committee will continue to unite industry forces to drive technological advancement in cloud terminal systems, foster standardization efforts, and cultivate thriving ecosystems, thereby providing robust support for the high-quality development of the global computing industry.
