GCC Makes Debut at Huawei's All-Connected Conference (HC2025): Collaborating Ecosystems to Explore the Intelligent Future of Industry

From September 18 to 20, the Huawei Connect 2025 Conference was grandly held in Shanghai. As an annual major event in the global technology and industrial intelligence fields, this conference, themed "Elevating Industry Intelligence," gathered top enterprises, technical leaders, and industry experts worldwide to jointly explore new pathways for digital transformation. The Global Computing Consortium (GCC), as a key industrial ecosystem alliance partner deeply engaged in computing by Huawei, was invited to participate. Focusing on three core directions"new standards, new architectures, and new ecosystems" the conference comprehensively showcased the alliance's standard achievements, architectural practices, and ecosystem collaboration value in computing infrastructure. As a Vice Chairman Unit and Platinum Member Unit of the GCC, Huawei's invitation to the GCC to appear at the Huawei Connect Conference is a powerful demonstration of deep collaboration between both parties. The GCC exhibition area is located on the "Industrial Organization Exhibition Island", focusing on the ecological empowerment path of "standardization as the foundation and scenario implementation". Centered around the core framework of "new standards, new architecture, and new ecosystem", it features three major exhibition zones that systematically present the alliance's core business and industrial value.

 

Many of the achievements on display are due to GCC's standard building and ecosystem convergence in key areas, which also allows participants to intuitively feel GCC's core role in promoting standardization, architecture innovation and ecosystem convergence in the computing industry.

At this HC exhibition, GCC focused on the three core business areas of "new architecture, new standards, and new ecosystem". Through technical solutions, physical demos, and case studies, it comprehensively showcased collaborative innovation achievements with ecosystem partners including Huawei, transforming the vision of "elevating industry intelligence" into tangible practices.

 

1. New Architecture: Leading the paradigm change in computing

In response to the industry demand of "from CPU-centric computing to diverse parallel computing", GCC has established a distributed fully parallel interconnection framework based on high-speed network protocols, clarifying the collaborative scheduling requirements for CPU pools, memory pools, storage pools, and XPU pools. This addresses the high-concurrency and low-latency demands of AI supercomputing and big data processing scenarios, promotes industrial consensus on diverse parallel computing architectures, and unleashes the vitality of new computing paradigms. During this HC conference, the "Super Node Development Report" jointly released with Huawei and other industry partners further refines the technical parameters and industry application scenarios of super node architectures, providing clear guidance for the large-scale upgrade of computing infrastructure.

2. New standards: consolidate the technological foundation for industrial development

Regarding next-generation computing infrastructure, GCC has collaborated with leading enterprises such as Huawei to implement multiple key standards. In the liquid cooling sector, the GCC Open Liquid Cooling Professional Committee launched the "Dual Zero Initiative" (zero issues and zero waiting time in liquid-cooled server rooms), attracting over 60 industrial chain enterprises to participate and releasing two batches of qualified component white lists. Meanwhile, through intuitive comparisons between liquid-cooled rack servers and air-cooled liquid rack servers in the exhibition area, the inherent advantages of native liquid cooling solutions in operational efficiency, computing density, and energy conservation were fully demonstrated, setting an industry benchmark for green and high-density development of intelligent computing centers. Additionally, in the AI data format domain, member organizations including Huawei initiated the HiF8 low-precision floating-point data format standard project at GCC, providing standard support for enhancing AI computing efficiency.

3. New Ecology: Scenario-based innovation activates industry value

Under the theme of "Elevating Industry Intelligence" at Huawei's All-Connected Conference 2025, intelligence is no longer an abstract concept but has been materialized into concrete achievements across various industries, with embodied intelligent robots being its most tangible manifestation. As a key focal point for empowering intelligent transformation across multiple sectors, the core member unit of the GCC Edge Computing Industry Development Committee —— Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, showcased the "Workstation-Level Embodied Control System" embodied intelligent robot, which garnered significant attention at the exhibition.

The system features an integrated software-hardware solution called "EIC-M1 Industrial All-in-One Machine + EOS Operating System", optimized for GCC ecosystems. This breakthrough addresses common challenges in traditional industrial robotics such as limited adaptability, poor human-robot collaboration, and slow process iteration, enabling plug-and-play upgrades. Its sleek exterior and cutting-edge technology have become the show's main attraction, drawing enthusiastic attention and active engagement from global partners at the exhibition.
