In the contemporary era of rapid and dynamic technological advancement, High-Performance Computing (HPC) has emerged as a pivotal force driving progress across multiple domains. Leveraging its formidable computational power and efficient data processing capabilities, HPC plays an indispensable role in fields such as scientific research, engineering design, and artificial intelligence, profoundly transforming our world.
To foster global collaboration in high-performance computing, address industrial challenges, and propel the continuous advancement of HPC technology and industry prosperity, the Global Computing Consortium (GCC) has established the High Performance Computing Development Group (hereinafter referred to as: HPC DG). The HPC DG aims to unite diverse stakeholders to collectively overcome industry bottlenecks and elevate the high-performance computing sector. The committee will focus on four key strategic areas:
1. Industrial Research: Conduct comprehensive analyses of global high-performance computing market trends, publish authoritative white papers, establish industry standards, accurately identify industrial needs, and promote the sustainable development of the industry.
2. Technological Breakthroughs: Focus on collaborative optimization of software and hardware to provide advanced solutions that meet the high-performance computing requirements of various sectors.
3. Talent Cultivation: Develop interdisciplinary and composite talents through a multi-tiered education system.
4. Ecosystem Building: Integrate global computing resources, deepen international cooperation, connect the upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain, and build an open and shared high-performance computing ecosystem.
The HPC DG has convened leading institutions and enterprises from around the world. Its membership spans various sectors including industry, academia, research, and application, forming a robust coalition for industrial development. Moving forward, we look forward to working together to advance the application and technological ecosystem of high-performance computing, enriching and enhancing the HPC industry ecosystem.
