“Co-Building the Future Intelligent World” — GCC and iSoftStone Successfully Hold the H•I³ AI Discovery Summit

On August 28, the first H•I³ AI Discovery Summit 2024, jointly hosted by the Global Computing Consortium, GCC Board Member and Platinum Member iSoftStone Information Technology (Group) Co., Ltd., and Knowledge City Group, was successfully held in Huangpu, Guangzhou. With the theme “Co-Building the Future Intelligent World,” the summit featured a keynote speech by Miao Fuyou, CTO of the GCC Secretariat, titled Embracing the Era of Data-Driven Intelligent Computing and Developing a Diverse Computing Industry Ecosystem. At the summit, iSoftStone announced the official establishment of its Intelligent Computing Headquarters in Huangpu, Guangzhou, and released several major full-stack intelligent products.

In recent years, artificial intelligence technologies have penetrated thousands of industries and become an important engine of new quality productive forces. As intelligent transformation accelerates, the application and popularization of AI will become increasingly extensive, and its role in social and economic development will continue to grow. Therefore, focusing on the development of data, computing power, algorithms, and related industries, and strengthening new infrastructure represented by intelligent computing power, is crucial to maintaining industrial competitiveness.

Zhao Yuliang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chief Scientist of GBA Institute, said in his speech that AI technologies have wide application scenarios in the medical field, including nanomedicine, medical image recognition, drug R&D, chronic disease management, and biological exploration. At the same time, AI applications in scientific research, such as AlphaFold2’s breakthrough in protein structure analysis, have demonstrated the huge potential of AI for Science.

 

With the emergence of AGI, artificial intelligence technologies have initially completed the leap from 0 to 1. Moving from 1 to 10 means there will be many possibilities for industrial development. Wu Lianfeng, Vice President and Chief Analyst of IDC China, introduced strategies for enterprises to create value with generative AI. He stated that generative AI has become a new engine for digital transformation. In the process of maximizing the value of generative AI, enterprises need to follow five principles: cognition must be in place, scenarios must be clear, cases must be referenced, budgets must be sufficient, and partners must be suitable. These strategies can help enterprises better use generative AI technologies to optimize business processes, customer interactions, and management decision-making.

 

With the rapid growth of data volume and the fast development of deep learning technologies, we are entering a new era of data-driven intelligent computing. In the view of Miao Fuyou, CTO of the GCC Secretariat, in the era of data-driven computing, deep learning, large models, and generative AI technologies have become the core, and application software development is increasingly reflected as a process of data processing and training. On the one hand, AI technologies are driving the diversification of computing chips, including CPUs, GPGPUs, NPUs, and brain-inspired architectures. On the other hand, they will also drive the evolution of computing architectures, pushing computing resources toward fully distributed pooled architectures and further toward diversified equal computing architectures. Diversified equal computing architectures will become the mainstream architecture of the computing industry, and new industry organizations are needed to bring together industry partners and reconstruct the new computing industry ecosystem.

At this summit, iSoftStone presented a series of full-stack software and hardware products. Liu Huifu, Chief Technology Officer of iSoftStone, introduced the company’s intelligent transformation strategy and achievements to the guests.
